There is no joy that compares to the joy of giving. Seeing the face of happy, grateful people that receive a bag of grocery which brings them peace knowing that they will be able to feed their children for a couple of days, and the happy expectant faces of boys and girls as you give them a doll or a car is sometimes overwhelming. In one community, Nueva Esperanza en El Congo, the joy on the children’s face was not only receiving a toy but a rubber boots to protect their feet on rainy days as their indoor and outdoor floor is mud.
Thanks for allowing us to do this. Thank God for the faithful Saints that come every year from the U.S. and Colombia to put their hands to the plow. Thank you Anthony, Wanda, Rickie, Leticia, Anlet, Joshua and Jeshua… Thank you to the Saints from the Panama Church that joined us…. Pastora Cynthia, Reina, Rickie, Eiriz, Dennis & Rafael. May God reward you bountifully for your labor of love!
In addition to the usual areas where we minister, this year’s week of Ministry included four new locations: Two communities in Chepo, one community in Arraijan, and one community in Nueva Esperanza, El Congo. All four of these communities are outside of the City of Panama and are comprised of people that the government of Panama call ”land invaders” who construct their home out of old board and old zinc for their roof. You made a difference in their lives and the lives of their children this past Christmas. My desire is to continue to visit/minister to them on a quarterly basis as your faithful and generous donations will allow us to so.
