Beloved,

Grace and peace…. Would you believe that last month WE celebrated 16 years of serving needy children in Colon?  And I say WE because I could have NEVER EVER done this without God first of all, ALL OF YOU together who have supported this ministry.  16 beautiful and blessed years have gone by so quickly that I can hardly believe that it has been that long.  I look over photos of the past and see myself with black hair that is now a beautiful silver.   Thanks, praise and glory to God and thanks to all of you, that have supported this ministry faithfully and generously for all of these years.

I thank God that even in this time of pandemic, we are still able to feed people.  The Government made me close the Feeding Center the early part of March to avoid the risk to the children getting sick with the coronavirus.

Two weeks later as I was concerned about not only the children but also the homeless that we feed every day, I called the Director of the Social Service Agency that overlooks the Feeding Centers in Colon and with God’s favor covering me, she allowed me to re-open with certain restrictions.  The children cannot come to the center; no one enters the Feeding Center, the food is prepared and served in disposable plates and placed at the entrance of the Center on a table while the two workers supervise from a distance the amount of plates that are taken based on the children in the household.  The homeless taken only one plate.

Part of the vision and mission God laid on my heart was also to visit and provide for those in prison, which we have done over the years (Hebrews 13:3).  This month we started with the help of Pastor Melinda in-charge of one of the church in the prison, taken the brothers hygiene articles:  soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and toilet paper as they are not allowed visitors.
